Your First Visit

Dr. Eric S. Markowitz & Dr. Clare A. McGorry are dedicated to providing quality dental care in Washington DC

Your initial appointment will consist of a consultation, where you will meet the doctor and have a discussion where you will have the opportunity to voice your concerns related to your dental condition. Once we fully understand your goals, we can start collecting the information we need to develop a plan for your dental needs. An initial, thorough examination is critical when diagnosing a patients dental condition. This examination consists of a set of x-rays, and a complete examination of the teeth and the gums. We also will assess the cosmetic appearance of the smile, the bite, and perform an overall soft tissue examination looking for any other pathology that may be present.

The key to creating an outstanding final result is taking the time to carefully diagnose a patients problems, so that nothing is left to chance. Depending on the problems that a patient presents with, models of the teeth may also be needed to help create a plan of treatment. Once we study the situation, we will come up with some options and discuss those options with a patient, focusing on advantages/disadvantages of different treatments, as well as cost and time estimated for completing treatment.

We are always excited when our patients walk through the door. As a new patient to our office, we welcome you with a gift bag at the end of your visit as a thank you for choosing Markowitz Dental as your oral healthcare provider.
