Sidney S. Markowitz, D.D.S.

Dr. Sidney S. Markowitz graduated from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in 1962. Following graduation from dental school he served as a dentist in the Air Force, stationed in Madrid, Spain. When he returned from his tour of duty, he set up his private dental practice in Silver Spring, MD. Several years later he moved his practice to downtown Washington D.C.

Throughout his career, Dr. Sid has placed a strong emphasis on cosmetic dentistry. He is a founding member and past president of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). He is also the only accredited member of the AACD in Washington, D.C. Dr. Sid and his wife Carolyn spend their weekends at their “farm” in the mountains of western Maryland, which is where he pursues his hobbies of woodworking, gardening, and love of nature. He even shares the bounty from his garden with his patients.
